I purhcased a beautiful van from
carhop in 2010. Blue book on van $6000, my price, $9000, total payout, from loan, $12,000. Monthly payment was $366.00 mo. and $549.00 mo. if I had three paychecks in a month. I did not care. The car was perfect, great shape. Not one repair, not one problem. I was never late on any payment, and I never missed any payment. I was foolishly singing carhops praises. Then on 12/23/12 a teenager ran a red light and my
beautiful car was totalled by my insurance.
CarHop and UAC both told me that they would accept the payment from my insurance, ($4088.00, no small amount) and that they would allow me to "sub" into a
comparable car and my loan amount and loan payout date would remain the same. I was fine with that as I would rather have a car then have to change everything. I go to carhop and they will only show me piece of crap, high mileage, rusted out clunkers. The first car I drove kept stalling at every stop sign. The second one was rusting everywhere, and vibrating so hard I thought the steering wheel would come off, the breaks were squeaking super loud, the winsheild wipers would not work nor would the washer fluid come out, and they expected me to trade $4000.00 for this piece of junk. Only 167,000 miles! I was treated like dirt by Gary and Josh at this location. They acted like I was crazy for turning thier car down. Now today, Jan. 26, they suddenly are claiming that I only had liability and that they did not recieve any money from my insurance!!! I immediately called my insurance company and they emailed me copies of the check and the paperwork that carhop accepted. They are claiming that I want too much in a vehicle. Really? All I wanted was a decent vehicle that would actually work the duration of my loan. Now I am demanding that the insurance payment be immediately applied and subtracted from my loan payout". At least that way 100% of the payout goes to my benefit, instead of them getting $3700/.00 and I am supposed to take thier $200!.00 problems off thier hands,. Only a bunch of idiots would treat a good customer like garbage.. AND DON'T BOTHER CALLING OR EMAILING BRUCHE HUTCHISON! HE WILL NOT RETURN YOUR CALLS OR EMAILS|. I just can't believe how rudely Bridget and Julie at carhop spoke to me, how they changed thier stories, lied about what they told me, and now claiming they don't have a check from my insurance|. I have already filed fa complaint with the Attorney Generals consumer complaint division.. I would advise anyone else to do the same. 129e92b
